half marathon
Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 01:01AM On May 7th, 2011 I will be joining Team Fox in the run against Parkinson’s. I will attempt my first half marathon – the Santa Barbara Half Marathon in Santa Ynez, California. Help me reach my fundraising goal of $1,000 – every little bit helps. Let us get closer to finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease!
This cause is one that is near and dear to me, as a few years ago my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's. It has been a tough battle not only for him but my family. This race is a small way for me to not only help him but the millions of people suffering from this disease.
The training process has been grueling. I never thought of myself as a runner - but with the help of my fiancee who has been nothing but supportive, I'm ready for this challenge. I will not only be running with Team Fox, but with her by my side.
